About Now

What are we learning? Letting go?

As we make sense of so many events unfolding at once, it's easy to get caught in the spin cycle of 24-7 news and social media designed to trigger immediate reactions. Instead of letting someone else be an official explainer saying "hear this now", let's together make sense of: Here. This. Now.

We are seeing that the old systems were already stressed beyond repair, lopsided and unable to support our people and our planet. How can we listen together to learn together about the range of impacts on our selves, our families, finances and physical and emotional health? How we step away from the attention-based economy that aims to keep feeding us stimulus and step into our capacity to listen deeply to each other and be okay with jointly developing a path forward.

"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom." Viktor Frankl

Let's try an antidote to superficial or false stories that feed our doubt and distrust: Conversations with real people about what really matters.

“I think we have to own the fears that we have of each other, and then, in some practical way, some daily way, figure out how to see people differently than the way we were brought up to.” ― Alice Walker

Through new ways of connecting, we can get clearer about what we're ready to let go about "business as usual"? What is emerging as a better way forward?
